# organization.migration.start

Start a resumable organization data move and freeze source writes. Existing source data is retained. Only a person in the dashboard or CLI can start it.

`POST /api/v1/accounting/organization.migration.start`

Permissions: `accounting:read`, `accounting:write`, `accounting:admin` · Roles: admin

Not available over MCP: Organization data moves need administrator sign-ins at both installations and an explicit cutover in Settings or the CLI.

## Fields
